GUITAR / BASS / UKULELE LESSONS
Our guitar instructors teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical styles on both electric and acoustic guitars. Interested students can also learn the ukulele! Beginners work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight
reading and theory.
Each lesson will challenge you with a new technique or music theory, and ends with something fun – such as your favorite riff or song. We employ a variety of guitar method books based on student needs and preferences, and encourage students to bring smartphones or CDs to their lessons to learn their favorite tunes.
Ask us about our Summer RockU Camp! This is a great way to apply all the skills learned in private lessons.
What We Believe
We believe that the best way to learn music is with one-on-one, private instruction supplemented by group classes. Each lesson is tailored individually, for the way the student learns best. Group class experiences reinforce what is learned in private lessons. We take into account age, experience, personality, and learning style. We teach ages 1 - adult! It's never "too late" to learn how to play a musical instrument.
One-on-one attention
Students in private lessons are able to learn the type of music they personally are most interested in. Our teachers can focus 100% of their attention on that one student to ensure that hand positioning, posture or the understanding of a particular concept are correct. If a student has a particular difficulty in one area, the teacher can work on it without hampering the progress of a class of students and alternatively, if a student is excelling in one area, the teacher can move on. We offer 30 minute, 45 minute, and 1 hour lessons.
Our school is equipped to offer music lessons for students of all ages and abilities, from beginners to very advanced students. We offer every style of lessons from classical to jazz and pop.

WILL I NEED TO PURCHASE AN INSTRUMENT TO TAKE LESSONS AT THE ACADEMY?
We can help you get rentals for as low as $35/month and all contracts are rent to own. We can also help you purchase an instrument for a reasonable price. If you already have a flute or sax at home, bring it and we will gladly evaluate it for you.
I DON’T HAVE ANY MUSICAL BACKGROUND OR ABILITY. CAN I STILL HELP MY CHILD PRACTICE?
Yes. Even if you don't have a musical background you can ask the teacher for advice on how to help your child practice. By simply monitoring that they are doing exercises a certain number of times per day the student will progress. Parents will occasionally sit in on their child's music lesson to get an idea of the proper way a song should sound or how the student should be positioning their hands. We also send lesson notes weekly and sometimes create videos to help in the most effective way possible.
