Meet the Director
Holly Fielding, a seasoned violinist, has been immersed in music since the tender age of 3. Holding a prestigious Masters Degree in Music Performance from Ithaca College, she is a distinguished Suzuki instructor and licensed school teacher. With an impressive resume,
Holly has graced renowned stages, performing with esteemed ensembles such as the Erie Philharmonic, Ballet West, and The Orchestra on Temple Square, among others. She is not only a performer, but also a dedicated educator, having taught public school music and managed the Winter Gardens Free Children's Orchestra since 2003.
With a thriving private studio spanning four decades, Holly has been sharing her passion for music in Steamboat Springs since 2006. In 2018, she founded the Steamboat Academy of Music, envisioning it as a hub for fine arts education. Recently, she expanded its offerings by introducing a dance department, rebranding the institution as the Steamboat Academy of Music & Dance, thus solidifying its status as a comprehensive center for artistic growth and expression.
